L. Rivers Lee, CPCU, CIC, Vice President - Rivers, a graduate of East Carolina University, began his insurance career in 1983 as a commercial claims representative for a national insurance carrier. During his claims tenure he handled and supervised all types of commercial claims in a variety of jurisdictions. Prior to joining Senn Dunn, Rivers was a leading producer with one of the top 10 insurance brokers in the US. These experiences have provided him with a broad exposure to risk and the insurance products that most appropriately address these exposures. Rivers has used this knowledge for his clients to design and secure competitive insurance products without sacrificing service or coverage integrity. He lives in Raleigh with his wife and two children.

Jennifer J. Taylor, CIC, CISR, CPSR, CPIW – Jennifer began her insurance career providing personal insurance solutions in 1985, before joining Cameron M. Harris & Co. in 1990 as a Marketing Underwriter and later as a Senior Commercial Account Executive. She joins Senn Dunn with over 20 years of experience and with a broad expertise in many areas of commercial insurance for large companies with difficult to place risks. She has a broad knowledge of large deductible and retro plans for Workers Compensation exposures. Customer service is her primary focus. Jennifer and her husband are sports enthusiasts and spend their free time golfing, reading and traveling.

Sonja Barnhart, Employee Benefits Consultant. Sonja graduated from the College of Charleston in 1991 with a BS degree in Business Administration. Since graduation, she has worked with several major health carriers as a Large Group sales representative. Sonja has extensive training on HSA, HRA and FSA plans. She specializes in group medical, dental, vision, disability, life and wellness programs for medium to large companies.

Jeff Gambrel, Employee Benefits Consultant - Jeff graduated from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama with a BS in Marketing. He has 10 years of experience in employee benefits as a carrier representative and as a broker/consultant. Jeff has broad expertise in developing group medical, dental, disability and life programs for medium to large companies. He enjoys golf as well as following the Carolina Hurricanes and Carolina Panthers. He resides in Apex with his wife and three children.

Robert J. Ramseur, Vice President – Bob specializes in commercial property and casualty insurance coverages. He began his insurance career in 1971, in 1981 founded the Wilson-Ramseur Agency, and in 2007 this agency merged with Senn Dunn. Prior experience includes marketing and commercial underwriting with major national insurance companies. His background gives him expertise and technical competency in risk and exposure analysis and his interaction with clients and the marketplace enable Bob to provide the best possible perspective in account management. He graduated from Wake Forest University, is an active Rotarian, and is a past president of the Raleigh Association of Independent Insurance Agents.

Ben Singleton, AAI, Vice President – Ben specializes in commercial property and casualty insurance. He is also active in risk management and safety consultation services as a member of the North Carolina Propane Gas Association, having received their Supplier of the Year Award in 2002. Ben has a Business Administration degree from East Carolina University. Active in the Independent Insurance Agents of Wake County, Ben has served as the President as well as other offices and board positions within the organization. He is an active member of Wakeminster Baptist Church and enjoys fishing, golf and family time.

James P. Lowrey, Commercial Account Executive – Jamie specializes in bonding for all types of contractors and the construction industry. Prior to working in the insurance industry, he worked for a national retail wine merchant. As Operations Manager and later as Accountant for this company, Jamie had extensive financial responsibilities. A graduate of Barton College in 2002, he earned a BA in Business Administration.
