On February 13, 2004, the Greater Greensboro Merchants Association presented their Circle of Excellence Award in Sales to Randy. He was among 35 finalists and was chosen for this honor based on his outstanding sales achievement as described below in our nomination:

Why should this person be recognized as a member of the Circle of Excellence?

It takes a special individual to impress a company that has been helping men and women reach their potential for over 75 years, but that is what Randy Taylor has done in the short time he has been in the Employee Benefits Division at Senn Dunn. The idea of starting from zero could be intimidating to some sales people, but Randy viewed it as a challenge and grew his book from to $1 million in annual commissions in less than four years by mastering the art of cold calling and cornering the market on referrals. This translates into $20 million in premiums, making Randy Taylor the largest producer in agency history. Already a legend among all who know him, Randy is still as driven as ever and enjoys a customer renewal rate of 95 percent, a closing ratio of approximately 80 percent and has surpassed his annual internal referral goal - passing close to $650,000 in referral premiums to his fellow associates at Senn Dunn. Today, you can find Randy proving that the student really does become the teacher as he is training our newest and youngest employee benefits employee.
